Technology

The site is built with Eleventy and deployed on Netlify via GitHub.

Images and Graphics are manually optimised from the start, in GIMP or Inkscape and then copied in output directory with 11ty’s addPassthroughCopy. The site uses npm’s scripts field as build tool for style and script files.

Design

The graphics are adapted from Furuya Kōrin’s Unkashū volume 1 and volume 2, and Nuur Script for the logo’s letterforms. In terms of typeface, the website use EB Garamond for both copy and headings (Undecided and exploring a multitude of Claude Garamond inspired typeface). This site intentionally use logical properties without fallbacks for older browsers.
